NCTC Climate Academy 2/4-6/24 2015

Meeting Date: 2/4/2015

- 2/4/2015

Location: Online

Climate Academy is a 5 month online course and designed to cover the fundamentals of climate science, provide tools and resources for climate adaptation, and increase climate literacy and communication. Beginning in February 2015, a webinar will be held every other week for 5 months for a total of 10 sessions (participants will be asked on the application what day and time of the week is best for the 1.5 hour webinar sessions). Class resources and discussion forums will be accessed through Moodle, a distance learning platform (no special software required). Course participants will then develop a final product (such as a report or presentation) addressing climate change in their management of natural resources.

The course was developed in partnership with staff from the USFWS’s NCTC, The Wildlife Society (TWS), the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), the National Park Service (NPS), and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW).
