Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals Celebrates 25 Years!

The Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP) 25 years of collaboration and service to tribal environmental programs by providing outstanding, culturally relevant, education and training programs that increase environmental capacity and strengthen sovereignty.

ITEP will be hosting a 25th Anniversary Celebration on September 11, 2017, in Flagstaff, Arizona. There are several activities you can participate in:

Anniversary Celebration (September 11, 2017): During the 25th Anniversary Celebration event we will honor ITEP's rich history and share exciting news about a newly proposed building on the NAU campus to house ITEP and provide a training center for tribal environmental professionals. Additionally, ITEP will announce the launch of an $8M endowment fund initiative intended to support its efforts to strengthen tribal environmental program development and management. We are incredibly blessed to have world renowned Native American environmental activist, Winona LaDuke, as our keynote speaker to inspire us in on our path forward.

NAU's Biennial Conference (September 11-14, 2017): The 25 Year Celebration will be held in conjunction with NAU’s Biennial Conference of Science & Management on the Colorado Plateau & Southwest Region.
