In development of The Pacific Northwest Coast Landscape Conservation Design Project Plan, mapping connectivity zones was one item identified as an important objective. To successfully reach this objective, a task was set to convene a one-day workshop inviting participants to share knowledge about past and existing connectivity work happening in the region.
In December, 2016, a workshop was held in Portland, OR with a diverse group of over 50 participants in attendance. The workshop featured presentations on habitat connectivity throughout the project footprint from small to large scales, as well as a brainstorming session to begin developing an approach for habitat connectivity in the region.
